After nearly 40 years in the industry of electromechanical and fiberoptic components for Aerospace, Defence and Industrial markets I retired from the position and decided to work as a consultant. I spent the last 25 years working in either upper management or as a director and gathered experience in European and North American markets in areas such as Defence, Marine, Aerospace, Railways, Mining, Geophysics and Industrial Controls.
I obtained my engineering degree in fiberoptic interconnection, and my first position focussed on the implementation of this technology in Germany.

Souriau Germany GmbH (Souriau SAS Group, later: Esterline Connection Technology ECT)

• Sales and Marketing manager for conduits and systems in EMEAR
• Director of the German sales unit and associated offices in the Netherlands,Switzerland and Scandinavia with geographical responsibility for Central,North and Eastern Europe.
• WW Marketing Director for the ground defence market, with focus onEurope, United States and Canada.
• Member of related standardization groups like DIN-VG or MILVA (Military Vetronics Association)

FCI Deutschland GmbH (AREVA Group)

• Director of the business unit Interconnection for Aerospace, Defence and Industrial solutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Souriau Deutschland GmbH

• Business unit Manager „New Technologies“ including design, development, assembly, quality control and laboratory, sales and marketing for fiberoptic components and systems
• Product Manager for Fiberoptics and Filter Connectors

In these early years with Souriau Deutschland I was also involved in the development of patented designs for fiberoptic connectors in medical and telecommunication applications, in the development of fiberoptic transmission systems for industrial controls of the SERCOS standard as well as lens connector harnesses according to the standards of the German Bundeswehr.
